Gaming/Multiple monitors

With Windows 98, you can attach as many as nine monitors to a single computer. Each monitor must be equipped with a PCI graphics adapter or video card.

Note:  Many newer computers include a built-in video card. If your computer does, and you want to use multiple monitors, refer to your Windows 98 documentation before setting up a second monitor.

Using multiple monitors has obvious benefits for work applications - you can run Internet Explorer on one and use Microsoft Excel on another, or you can get a panoramic view of large documents. If you play games, there are even more possibilities.  You can set up monitors to get additional perspectives when you're playing games. Picture it:  you're playing Microsoft Flight Simulator.  You can set one monitor to display the inside of the cockpit and another to show the outside of the plane, another to show the right or the left of you, and another to track your opponent.
