Gnome is currently working on a new layout written from scratch specifically for SupComU, with some greatly appreciated graphic design help from TRO. This will include a new colour scheme.

If you have looked at our current stylesheet you will probably notice that it is quite a mess - mainly because it has been reused for several different sites. All round great guy, Nexus, has instructed us that we should hold off any layout updates for a while, however, rather than updating the various parts bit by bit, so you can expect the present layout to remain for a little while longer. Gnome will spring a whole new layout on us in one go.

There will be some other nice surprises not too long from now, but we won't say any more on that until we have something to say! Meanwhile, I am still working on the info page. I am somewhat surprised about how much information we actually do have.

Just to add to Gnome's post below, several other sites have also already released brief newsposts: Shacknews.com, Ferrago.com, Gamespot.com, 1up.com, and IGN.

No doubt, by the time you read this, the list will include several hundred other sites. I hope for all our sakes that there's some more news before then. We may have overlooked linking you to the actual announcement itself from the THQ Press Release, so have a quick look for yourself.

What this tells us is that people are tripping over themselves for any news on SUPCOM, so stay tuned.

GPG has tacked on their official Supreme Commander page to their site. Currently it's only a flash page with some nifty sound effects and a pretty logo and artwork, as well as some links to wallpapers (which we have mirrored in our Media section). It's nice to see it officially shown on their site though :)

In other news, PC Zone Magazine has a short blurb of an article up, but it doesn't really have any new information. It helps get the word out to the masses, though, so it can't hurt!

That's right, the first and only site for Supreme Commander is now alive! Thanks to help from El_Castro, we have a nice page to work with. He'll also be expanding our Information page soon with all currently known information on Chris Taylor's new RTS. We already have a Media page with the first official wallpaper and some other goodies, so check it out!
