Retail Version Patch
As part of our continued support for Unreal Tournament 2003 we are providing these updates to the retail version of the game.

Bonus & Map Packs

Bright Skins Mod
Using this mod in association with v2225 allows the game to feel more like original UT. This particular mod will make the red and blue team skins much brighter and turn off the shoulder lights. To disable / Enable go to Instant Action >> Game Rules Menu and look for the Bright Skins Toggle. To make the game feel more like original UT we suggest these settings:

- upgrade to v2225, and install the DE & Epic Bonus Packs
- use the UTClassic mutator
- use small weapons (Settings|Player menu)
- set FOV to 90 (Settings|Player menu)
- use the Evil Announcer from the bonus pack (set the announcer voice in the Settings|Audio menu)
- install the BrightPlayerSkins mod (client side only)

Community Bonus Pack
This Bonus Pack is compiled completely with popular works from the Unreal Community. It is a true testament the power the fans have over their own gameplay experience. A few of the Unreal community’s best level designers got together to release a small pack of their best work, and it has grown to be an 18 map and 1 mutator bonus pack. We highly suggest you download this and add it to your regular server rotation. We are very proud to see our community coming together to make standardized projects that directly benefit gamers like you. Please get the v2225 patch before playing to ensure compatibility.

The Bonus Pack from Epic Games includes 10 all new maps, 3 new gametypes, 2 new adrenaline combs, and much more! You will need the 2199 patch to install this.

Digital Extremes Bonus Pack
The Bonus Pack from Digital Extremes includes 6 all new maps: 3 deathmatch, 2 CTF and 1 Bombing Run. The umod version should only be downloaded if you have the 2166 patch and are not running a dedicated server. The file is available in .zip format and .umod

Misc. Files

Free Full Version Dedicated Server
These files allow anyone to run a dedicated UT2003 server, even if they do not own a retail copy of UT2003. Once installed, it will occupy around 780MB of disk space, significantly smaller than the 2.4GB required for a retail installation. Server admins wanting to advertise their server to the official master server list, and be included in UT2003 stats will require a dedicated server key.
