We are having a problem with yppasswdd crashing when a user uses
yppasswd. We use NIS for passwords and groups across a farm of OSF/1
machines. The NIS master node is running OSF/1 v 2.1 although the problem
first appeared when it was running v2.0.
We have passed dumps to DEC and have installed later versions of
yppasswdd at their request with no effect.
We suspected the passwd file but restoring an old version from before the
problem had no effect.
Has anyone else seen such a problem? Even better if anyone has a solution.
