Large, cheap disk arrays

I am in the market for a largish (~100GB) disk system to attach to a
2100. The array will be used to store an Oracle database. Good
performance would be nice, but it is not as important as low cost. I
have investigated StorageWork systems, but the large number of RZ28
disks and attendant controllers required put such a system out of my
budget.

My current idea is to get two or three KZPAA-AA PCI SCSI controllers,
hook up a dozen 9GB Seagate disks to them, and configure an AdvFS
filesystem. I already have a rack and power supply, so this would be
about the cheapest system possible. The question is: Will it work?
Are there any other low-cost solutions available?

Thanks,
