My original question:

> Does anyone know of any PD or commercial graphical file
> managers for OSF/1?

I received a lot of helpful responses, and summarize the info
below:

                        Commercial Products
                        -------------------
Visix Software makes a commercial one called Looking Glass. You can
get more info by calling 800-832-8668.

The commercial product X.desktop includes a graphical file browser.
X.desktop is shipped on the OSF/1 Layered Products CDs in the
directory xdt350. You'll need to purchase a license for it.

There is a utility call Unix Cockpit available for evaluation from
ftp.uu.net in /vendor/UniX11. It supports OSF/1 3.0 and up.

                        Free (for now?) Software
                        ------------------------
If you're running Digital UNIX V3.2, you have the CDE advanced
developer's kit on the release CDE kit - if you install the CDE
runtime environment then you have a graphical file manager. This
CDE environment is the stuff that the COSE group came up with, and
the same stuff that you'll see on IBM, Sun, and HP systems (to name
a few).

This CDE environment (its fully productized version) will be the
standard X Window environment in a not-too-distant future version
of Digital UNIX.

                        Public Domain Software
                        ----------------------
xfm (X File Manager) and mfm (Motif File Manager) are available via
anonymous ftp from ftp.x.org. Both programs work better if you
first install the XPM library which is available from the same
site. The files I downloaded are:

/contrib/libraries/xpm-3.4e.tar.gz
/contrib/desktop_managers/mfm1.0.tar.Z
/contrib/applications/xfm-1.3.2.tar.gz
