vt1300/ews/VAXeln -> Alpha/OSF?

I have a vt1300 which has connections to two of my VAXes via
VAXeln and the EWS$SERVER on the VAXes.

What do I need to do to add my alpha to the machines to which the
vt1300 has access. I tried adding an entry to the xxx.dat file for
the vt1300, which currently looks like this:

  $LOGIN_HOST OCVS1 - VAXstation 4090,47.244,DECNET
  $LOGIN_HOST OCVAXC - VAX 6620,47.241,DECNET
  $LOGIN_HOST OCAXP1 - Administrative Alpha,132.162.5.20,TCPIP
  $INET_ADDRESS 132.162.38.112
  $INET_NETWORK_MASK 255.255.255.0
  $FONT 47.244::DECW$SYSCOMMON:[SYSFONT.DECW.VT1300_75DPI]
  $FONT 47.244::DECW$SYSCOMMON:[SYSFONT.DECW.CDES]

Is there some piece of software which needs to be running on the alpha
in order for this to work?

Again, please forgive me. I'm not a system manager. I'm just tryin'
to hang in there until a new one is hired.

Thanks,

   Jennifer
