Hello, everyone--
We recently got in several Alpha AXP 200 4/233 systems. I am
installing OSF/1 version 3.2 on these boxes (using John Forrest's
dataless environment). Each of them has a sound board installed.
I want to set up the sound board so that I can:
--Hook up external speakers
--Play audio files (do .au extensions work?)
--Configure the appropriate hooks so that sound files will play
when clicked on from Mosaic/Netscape
--Play sound from the CD players (RD42's)
--Record sound via the attached microphone
At the system prompt, "isacfg -all" shows the sound card as being
installed, however "setld -i | grep MME" does not show a card driver
as being installed. The doc I have refers me to another document:
"Multimedia Services for DEC OSF/1 AXP Installation Guide" which I
do not have.
Can someone please point me to the appropriate documentation or
magic that will allow me to get our sound boards working? Thanks.
Other misc.:
--Are there tools that will allow for reading and writing
of MS-DOS disks in the floppy drive?
