I received lots of good suggestions using 'rm' in printcap.
Unfortunately, I found out that my JetDirect card is too old and it
doesn't support the 'lpd' emulation that the newer cards do. I asked DEC
about the 'netcat' problem and their response was simply "we don't have
any HP lasers with JetDirect cards so we can't test your problem. Get a
newer card". Unfortunatly, that's probably what I'll be doing. Thanks
to all for your responses (there were a TON of them) and my apologies for
the delay in getting the summary out.
