I am trying to run c-news and nntp 1.5.12.1 on an alphastation 200 running
OSF/1 v3.0b. This station is successfully downloading news from UUNET and
building batches to be sent to other machines. However, when I run nntpxmit
the following session occurs:
# /news/bin/nntpxmit -d 129.228.2.121:/news/spool/news/batch/news.pgh.wec.com
200 news.pgh.wec.com InterNetNews server INN 1.4 20-Mar-93 ready
nntpxmit: cleanup()
nntpxmit: requeue(): reset
nntpxmit: unlink(/news/spool/news/batch/news.pgh.wec.com)
>>> QUIT
205
nntpxmit: 129.228.2.121 stats 0 offered 0 accepted 0 rejected 0 failed
nntpxmit: 129.228.2.121 xmit user 0.550 system 1.483 elapsed 2.000
I am trying to send to the machine above and to another alpha running an
identical configuration of c-news and nntp. Has anybody else seen this
problem? I've tried changing some of the more obvious options in conf.h but
the results have always been the same. Can somebody send me a copy of their
conf.h to compare to mine. To add to the confusion, I actually managed to
transfer 1 news article to my other alpha one time on Monday but have not been
able to do it again.
Thanks,
Bill Bergman
