Awhile back it was asked:

> I've wandered through the FAQ and the archives, but haven't found any
> mention of whether it's possible to get shadow password files on
> Digital Unix (DU) 3.2. I _just_ want the encrypted passwords out of
> /etc/passwd - I'm not interested in all the other security baggage that's

but there was no summary posted. Could folks send any information
on this topic to me. I promise I will follow the list charter:

4: Answers to questions are to be mailed back to the questioner and
are NOT to be sent to the entire list. The person who originally
asked the question has the responsibility of summarizing the
answers and sending the entire summary back to the list. When a
summary is sent back to the list, it should contain the word
"SUMMARY" as the first word of the "Subject" line.
