Early summary of PCI Alphastations questions

Basically, the hardware capabilities and limitations are not fully
understood yet without further digging, but the related components are
fully documented at Digital Semiconductors.

There are volumes published on building a PCI bus device, mostly from
Intel.

DEC has a supplement to the Device Driver's Guide which covers writing a
driver for your own PCI device.

Finally, Digital Semiconductors has a PCI based single board computer
which may be more appropriate for building custom systems like what we
want to do, and cost a lot less than a full blown Alphastation 600.
