I installed qpop ie: Qualcomm popper 2.1.4 r5b on my Alpha running
Digital Unix 3.2c it compiled with a fez warning that are ok
according to the author of the program

But when I do :

telnet fire 110

Connected to fire.
Escape character is '^]'.
+OK QPOP (version 2.1.4-R4-b5a) at fire starting. <8993.791719874_at_fire>
user xxxxxx
+OK Password required for xxxxxx.
pass xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
-ERR Password supplied for "xxxxxx" is incorrect.
+OK Pop server at fire signing off.

Well you can see what is does .. it refuses to recognize the password

Does anybody have an idea of how to solve this problem ?
I have seen similar questions in the mailing archives but
no SUMMARY concerning this . there are other summaries for
popd and pop3d but for popper from qualcomm none.

I am no expert in C language and am new to Alphas and Digital Unix

HELP !!!!
