secure portmap for DU 3.2c

I recently tried installing the Wietse Venema portmap replacement
program (version 3) on an alpha running DU 3.2c. I have had some
problems with NFS mounts and NIS map transfers. Has anyone successfully
installed this program on DU 3.2c before? If so, what were the
compile options and were there any configuration issues?
