Has anyone seen this type of error message on OSF/1 v3.2 or greater?
We have 2 systems so far, a 400 4/266 and a 2100 4/275 running v3.2a and
v3.2 respectively, which can not fully boot, because they crash during rc2
or rc3 when network services are being brought up.
(the 400 has 160MB, the 2100 has 512MB and both have a TULIP ethernet
(DECchip 21040-AA rev 2.3))
error messages:
dupdone: bad copy 0xa491a200 0
panic (cpu 2): svckudp_dupdone
syncing disks... device string for dump = SCSI 0 1 0 0 0 0 0 ...
If i set NFSSERVING=0 in /etc/rc.config, the system will come up full
multi-user w/o incident and appears to run well, except there's no NFS
service.
crash-data log indicates that only a single 'nfsd' was running at crash
time (instead of 8 or whatever). 'statd', 'lockd', 'nfsiod(all)',
'portmap', etc are also running (hmm, a 'find' is running as well...
perhaps a /tmp cleaner?)

_stack_trace[2]_end:
it looks like either a "bad" client request or the server is confused and
is sending bad data reply.
Before i start doing extension network traffic snooping, i was wondering
if anyone had run into this problem and knows of any patches/ECOs, etc
that are relevant.
Thanks,
