Hello all,

I have been exploring memory prices for 8200 machines, mainly
upgrades from 128M to 256M, which means that there is no need for a
new memory controller board. Digital has quoted GBP 17000 (USD
11000) and apparently the maximum discount for partners is 40% taking
it to GBP 10200 (USD 6669). I have a quote in my hands from Kingswell
Computer Co. (UK) for GBP 2480 (USD 1629), lifetime warranty, new,
etc. This sounds unbelievable. I don't know the company but apparently
installing their memory does not void the warranty.

I'd appreciate any comments on 3rd party memory suppliers or
experiences, esp. with 8200s. Of course I will summarise.

Ciao,

        Arrigo
