I have just installed Digital Unix 3.2D on a new Alpha
(our first, we have several Suns running Solaris).
I am having some strange TCP/IP problems:
I can ping all the other systems on my net from this system.
I can ping this system from others in my net.
I can telnet out of this system fine.
I *can't* telnet into this system. Sez trying... then gives up.
I can ftp and login to another system but when I do an "ls" it
hangs. After about 5 min. it spits back the message "425 Can't
build data connect: Connection timed out"
I *can't* ftp into this system. Just hangs and eventually times
  out.
The behavior is the same using either straight ip addresses or
the system name. NSLOOKUP works great.
Does anyone out there have a clue as to what's wrong?
Any help will be *greatly* appreciated!!
