NIS & Enhanced Sec: Can't rewrite protected password entry ...

Hi,

I used XSysAdmin and XIsso for adding a user to the local authorization
database. Then I wanted to move that user into NIS. Here is what I did:

[1] Appended /tcb/files/auth/r/rob to /var/yp/src/prpasswd
[2] Renamed /tcb/files/auth/r/rob to /usr/tmp/auth-rob
[3] Copied the account info from /etc/passwd to /var/yp/src/prpasswd for user
rob.
[4] Removed rob from /etc/passwd
[5] Ran make passwd and make prpasswd

Now a login on that host appears to accept the username and password, prints
the last login messages, displays the message "Can't rewrite protected
password entry for user rob" and then exits.

Any ideas or suggestions? BTW, we are running v3.2d-1 of DU and all of the
above was performed on our NIS master. None of the accounts that I have set
up directly with C2 and NIS have worked correctly, either.

Thanks for your time,
Rob
