sendmail problems after installing ssrt0359

I installedt ssrt0359 (the c lib patch) on my news server over the
weekend and sendmail seems to have partially broken. if I send mail from
the machine, it goes into the queue and never get's send. I issue a
sendmail -q -v to process the queue and the mail is delivered. Any ideas?

Also, I have a set of perl scripts that do news stats for me. I seem to
be getting random memory faults out of them since the upgrade. Would
perl need to be recompiled?
