Serious boot problem

Hi,

I have an AXP3000/M300X running 3.2C. After replacement of a broken graphics card, we tried booting the system.
Suddenly, it can't find the osf_boot file anymore. The root filesystem (which is advfs) is on partition a of disk rz3. I then booted from CDrom, created the appropriate /etc/fdmns entries and tried mounting the root_domain on /mnt. This results in an IO error. In the same way however I was able to mount the usr_domain, which is on partition d of the same disk rz3.

Any suggestions as to how I can recuperate my root_domain without recreating it (and doing a vrestore)?

Thanks.

Geert.
