My experiences with high volume DEC Alpha/UNIX systems, is limited to
one or two systems - which I know pretty well. I'd like to compare
my experiences of them to other people's - to get some averages. I know
that the questions are a bit vague - but I think that they would make
for some interesting reading.

1 - What is the MTBF (Mean Time Between Failovers) of the UNIX Boxes
you administer ? What causes the downtime ?

2 - How often do you install patch updates (ie, 3.2x -> 3.2y) ?

3 - If the event of a failure - what is your usual startup time ?

I'll definetely summarise.
