Hi,
I recently installed Polycenter;
Performance Data Collector
Performance Advisor (PSPA302)
Capacity Planner.
on OSF 3.2 148
I am seeing a problem that may be related to timezones.
The Data Collector is generating the .cpd files with the correct date stamp in the name.
However Performance Advisor is looking for a file with the name of the next day.
At this point I should point out the I am in New Zealand (-12 hours West of GMT ie; when its 13July 13:00 here, its 13July 01:00 GMT) and when I had this problem it was 13:00 local time.
I tried changing the local environment TZ setting and this had a direct affect on the date of the file that performance advisor looked for.
If I have TZ set to NZST dxadvise looked for a file of the next day. In the reports the date of the data collected is todays date and the time is also correct.
If I set TZ to GMT-0 dxadvise picked up the file for todays date, but displayed the times for the data as if they happened 12 hours ago.
One thing I thought very strange was that with TZ set to GMT the time was the same as for NZST.
However a "date -u" command gave the correct GMT time not local NZST time.
Has anyone seen this problem and is there a fix/workaround.
Many thanks
