Here's one I haven't encountered before with C2; user failed to update
password, and when I try to override as root and change it for them, it
tells me:
Password not changed: password lifetime has passed.
I don't get the standard screens to even attempt to change it. Just
tells me it's dead, Jim.
It's one of my kids (children) who was away at school and didn't log in
this account or change his password for about six months, so it's
actually about a year since the last password change, with six months set
as the max. without changing passwords on this system.
And I AM going to summarize the stuff about apache, netscape servers and
web servers/aliases, etc., once I get one more question answered by DEC
support services. Thanks to all who contributed both on the first round
and the second round. It's much more interesting this time...
