libg++ 2.7.2 compile error

Hello managers,

I am trying to install libg++ 2.7.2 on an OSF 3.2a box .. during the make
process i get the following error:

rootme=`pwd`/ ; export rootme; CC="gcc"; export CC; CXX="gcc -nostdinc++ -g
-O
2"; export CXX; CONFIG_NM="nm"; export CONFIG_NM; /bin/sh ./gen-params
LIB_VER
SION=2.7.2 >tmp-params.h
nm failed to find FUNC in dummy.o!
./gen-params: -1: bad number
*** Exit 1
Stop.


Is there a quick fix to this and if so what?
