CDE Terminals don't work... HELP!!!

OK Gang, here's a bizarre one that we cannot figure out.

I have just been given a brand new 19 inch color NCD X-tube to replace my
aging and fading Motorola. I've been using Common Desktop (CDE) for a
week or two now and have gotten used to it, so I was excited about the
new tube. Except it doesn't work 100%.

I can bring up CDE and all the cool things like Mail, desktop tools, file
manager, workspace shifters, and the like work fine. However... you
knew that was coming... when I pop up the scroll and try to open a
terminal window, either on the host, or any of the remote systems
which I have defined terminal sessions for, I get nothing. The net
activity light blinks for a while, then goes away and I never get a
terminal window.

As you can imagine this makes the whole thing a bit pointless :-)

I've played with every setup box I can find, renamed the .dt directory
so DU would create a new one, just in case there was some terminal
specific data in there. Nothing, so far, has helped.

Anyone out there have any ideas of what I might try?

Thanks.
