Failure to boot after firmware update v3.6 (PANIC)

Hi,

        In order to upgrade our UNIX system to V4.0, I have upgraded the
2100(EV4) firmware using the v3.6 CD. When trying to boot either from
the CD or the paritially upgraded system, it will PANIC with a DDR error
similar to below.


DDR_warning: Unable to obtain device information database.
Unable to open file /etc/ddr.db

At which point a dump is displayed to the VGA.


Has anybody experienced similar problems?
