120m DATs + TLZ09 == trouble?

I'd like to know the group's experience using 120m DAT tapes on the
TLZ09 tape drives. I've seen lots of trouble (write errors in
particular). Is there some trick, or do 120m tapes just break a lot in
this drive? The 120m tapes do seem to work better in the TLZ07.
