We are having mail locking problems on our systems. Occasionally,
(once a week), one of the user's mail files gets locked and sendmail
can no longer deliver mail to the user.
Keck is the central file server.
Phy is the central mail server and the only one running
Sendmail 5.65v3.2/GSC4.24.
Clients read mail from keck:/var/spool/mail.
All of the clients mount keck:/var/spool/mail with "nfs rw,bg,intr"
options.
All /etc/rc.config files have
MAILLOCKING="5"
though I don't think this does anything.
Suggestions? Are there any diagnostic tools/bug patches/configuration
changes?
Thanks,
-Gaylord
