alpha1000a and Spiderport delayed echo

Hi,
I am currently upgrading from a DEC3000-600 to an ALPHAserver1000A and
am
        experiencing the following problem.

When logging in to the 1000A via Wyse60 terminals on a Spiderport M250
terminal server and at the login: prompt the sytem takes seconds to
echo
each character of the username. This slowness also is evident after
login.

If I log into the DEC3000 there is no delay. Also if i connect up a
DIGITAL
DS90M server and use a Wyse60 ther is no delay.

I have checked most of the KERNEL and sysconfig parameters and they
are mostly identical between each machine.

        The DEC3000 is running V3.2C and the 1000a is running 3.2G ( G is
needed
        to support the 1000a).

It appears to a compatibility between the Spiderport and 3.2G as the
DS90M
        runs fine.

        Any Ideas ??????
        Regards.
