Dear Sirs:
I have a big problem.
I have a raid controller
and configured in one channel a raid1(mirror) with two scsi disks RZ29,
and in some moment one of these two disks failed, then the other had to
work, but it didnīt work too.
So, I could't continue working.
I replaced the disk that faildes with a new one, and I waited like
thirty minutes that the two disks synchronize, but after taht nothing
changed.
I tried to do a disklabel -r re3 before and after changing the failed
disk and I couldnīt. I had to do a disklabel -wr re3 swxcr
and a restore of the information.
I also saw the raid configuration and after changing the failed disk,
all the disks were in OPT state.
I don't know where is the problem, or what was the cause?
Is it a log file or another file in Digital Unix where these problems
are saved?
If the problem was the channel, Is it a message in Digital Unix that can
tell me if the problem was the channel of the raid controller?
Please, I am very worried that the raid 1 fails again?
I will appreciate your full help a lot
Waiting for all your comments.
Thanks in advance for your help
