I asked about any quick and easy BMP to gif/jpg soloutions.
One little important detail I left out was that I needed a command line
soloution.
Almost everyone pointed out xv, which will do this interactively,
available at:
ftp.cis.upenn.edu
And a few pointed out the Independant JPEG Group, which has conversion
utilities (namely cjpeg):
ftp.uu.net/graphics/jpeg/jpegsrc.v6a.tar.gz
And other packages such as xfig, netpbm, and pbmplus were also mentioned.
I used the IJG "cjpeg" , and it works well. It compiled easily.
thanks for the help!
David
