In my previous message I had pointed out that I'd added the rz8
device files, rebuilt the kernel, still to no avail. Another rebuild
was indicated, making sure the scsi1 controller and rz8 disk are included
in the kernel. That's now been done.
scu with show device shows a normal rz26L disk. the
"tur" (Test unit ready) command within scu gives the following result:
scu> tur
scu: 'test unit ready' failed, EIO (5) - I/O error
scu: Sense Key = 0x2 = NOT READY - Logical unit is NOT ready,
Sense Code/Qualifier = (0x4, 0x2) = Logical unit not ready, initializing co
mmand required
scu> quit
So is this a bad disk, or a bad configuration or what?
