Blocking factors for DLT 4000

Hello,

We like to optimise the backup time with DLT 4000. The blocking factors are:

dd if=$OFILE of=$2 bs=64k 2>&1
tar -cb 64 -f $NTAPE $($BHome/expand_path.ksh $AppDir) \.

What are the maximum blocking factors for dd and tar?
Does DLT4000 requires any changes in system's tables?
