Hello Managers,
I have a advfs problem.
Yesterday i updated my 400 4/233 Alphastation from 3.2g up
to 4.0a and then to 4.0b. The home partition is a 1 GByte
harddisk on which i use and used advfs.
On 3.2g i used the dxadvfs tool to manage this volume.
For the update to 4.0b i deinstalled the old version of
the advfs GUI and afterwards installed the AFAADVxxx402
savesets.
Now, if i start dtadvfs the tool initializes, and the a window
pops up where i have select the host (Host selection window).
If i choose the hostname of my machine (given by the tool)
and try connect the following error pops up:
Failed to make agent connection to host ...
I looked at the /var/opt/advfsd/socket/hosts.allow file, and
therein is the right hostname.
So what to do (Cant find any describtion of the error message)

P.S.: Does anybody know how to obtain the hardware address
of an networkcard installed in a unix system (alpha and sun) ????
