How do I get /tmp to use swap space?

Hi,

A tricky qustion for you all this time...

My DU machines run with the default setup which has /tmp on the
root file system. This is not good for many applications which simply
run out of disk space. Not surprising as there is only a few meg left
in /. But these machines have hundreds of M in their swap. All my
Sun boxes use swap for /tmp, how do I get my DU boxes to do the
same?
