DECUNIX C2 NIS clients and Solaris NIS clients

Hello,

We are trying to use DECUNIX C2 under NIS. We have both SUN Solaris and
Alpha DECUNIX NIS clients. What we want is to have a NIS centralized
password database with more controls: password expiration, account
lifetime control, etc.

It seems that some commercial products allow what we want: UniShield (NIT)
BoKS (DynaSoft). I don't have the prices of this products and I am
waiting for the replies to the mails I sent to NIT and DynaSoft.

Is there other products free or under license ? Where can we get them ?

Our configuration is the following:

NIS Master: AS2100/DECUNIX 4.0B
NIS Slaves: AS2000/DECUNIX 4.0B
            SparcServer1000E/Solaris 2.5
NFS servers: AS2100 and AS2000 which are TCR1.4 cluster members.

Under C2, the prpasswd file allows better control on user's accounts:
expiration, password length control, password trivial checking, etc.

Solaris have the same capability but the file used is /etc/shadow and
The Solaris shadow file is not shared by NIS.

Does any one have an experience in sharing a 'rich password' file (as
DECUNIX prpasswd or Solaris shadow) between Solaris and DECUNIX NIS
clients.

Thanks in advance.

Christophe.
