HP LaserJet 5M and Digital Unix

Dear managers...
I am trying to hook up a HP Laserjet 5M to my system. Two or three
questions

1) It wants to get its IP number via either bootp or rarp, neither
    of which I am running. Any idea how to get those for Digital Unix?

2) Failing that--has anyone ever figured out how to just enter the
    IP number on the control panel of that printer?
