My original question :

I am looking for an ADVFS equivalent of the Linux ext2
filesystem chattr command which makes it possible to mark
files undeletable, append only, etc.. I've poked around the
advfs man pages without any success so far.

thanks to those who replied ( sorry if i forgot anyone ).

Correct me if i'm wrong, please, but it doesn't look like DU & ADVFS
support this sort of stuff. It seems that the 'trashcan' features w
ere more pressing . =(

If you need software features as such , i suppose you'll need
one of the BSD's , or Linux .
