Perhaps someone has a suggestion on how to deal with a problem with
an external 8mm tape drive that suddenly decided to go on vacation.
This device is connected to an Alpha 3000 and it does duty to back up
files via NSR 4.4.3 under Digital Unix 4.0b.
When a new tape is inserted in this tape drive, NSR can be used to label
the tape just fine. Mounting the tape via NSR results in an error that
says "tape label read, No such device or address".
When I attempt to issue the "# /sbin/scu -f /dev/nrmt1h" command from
root, I get the following error:
Warning: Inquiry (EXB-850085asynr0) and system (EXB-8500) device names
are different.

If anyone knows what this means and how it can be fixed, please let me
know.
Thanks
