Hello managers,
I was using very quietly NSR 4.4 on my Digital Unix 4.0d system and as it
was a very rainy day, I've decided to update to 5.2 ?
Following the instructions given in "Release Supplement and Installation
Guide" Networker for Digital Unix version 5.2 , I install the software
modify the PATH to include /usr/opt/networker/bin and start nwadmin (all
that on the server of course).
The problems begin here because the following message is displayed :
*** Server Not Available ***
So I'm quite unable to got to the Server Setup menu and enter the enabler
code.
Even after :
# /sbin/rc3.d/S94NSRstartstop start
# ps ax | grep nsr
19810 ?? S 0:00.19 /usr/opt/networker/bin/nsrexecd
19681 ttyp1 S + 0:00.01 grep nsr
There is only one nsr process and by example nsrd is not running and
doesn't run even started manually.
Some experiences somewhere for our next "DECUS horror stories session" ?
Thanks
Daniel
