Hi All ,
        I originally wrote if I could mix 2040-AA & 2040-AB
CPUs . Thanks to those who wrote back saying " No Don't" .

        Another Question :
I was supplied with an interim license and had preinstalled it.
When I first installed the second CPU , the system had
no problem recognising it . I got the following in my log file .
        vmunix: Starting secondary cpu 1

After however booting the system a couple of times
it no longer shows up . It only seemed to be recognised
the first two times . Does anyone know why .
I have a feeling it may be license related .
I have also read of "SMP" licenses in the archive , is there
any way to recognise an "SMP" license .
The second CPU shows up at the SRM prompt , just fine .

Thanking you ,
