Hi all,
I use to connect two Alphaserver 4100 (one application a one database
server with ORACLE) a fast-ethernet backbone with 10/100 TULIP Ethernet
card in half-duplex mode (I can't use full-duplex because i have implemeted
the DEC-SAFE). Sometime (very offen!!!) during a large load the TCP buffers
for sending and receiving data can overflow.
If the send buffer is full, attempts to send additional bytes cause the
application to be blocked until the number of buffered bytes drop below the
buffer size. The TCP buffer dimension is 32KB. Do You know if is possible
to increase the TCP Buffer size? and how?
Best Regards. Giulio Bitella.
PS. My UNIX release is OSF/1 4.0B.
