Optimizing core generation

Hi all,

 I am looking for a way to optimize core generation on a process
 crash (I do not want to disable such a generation). Are there
 important kernel / vm / ubc parameters that may influence
 considerably the core dump and flush on disk ?
 (the core size range may be 20..100 Mo).
