Who variously recommend...

Applixware..... http://www.applix.com
Ovation.... http://www.ve.com/ovation
StarOffice.... http://www.stardiv.com
Wabi.... http://www.caldera.com

But I think that I may have to mandate html....

We are currently attempting to obtain ISO9000 approval for which
we must employ standardised documents. The University mandates
word as the wordprocessor but we boffins use latex and so I have
won one battle by insisting on open non-proprietary systems and
hence all documents are to be in html. It doesn't matter how the
document is generated it must end up as html. The same could work
for presentations if only I could get an html authoring
environment dumb enough for the professors to cope with. Yes the
netscape editor does test their ability (me, I use the best html
tool ever made... vi!) An html browser that fills a laptop screen
without borders would also be helpful.
