Kernel Message - Help!!!!!!!!!

I just installed DU 4.0B on an Alpha 800 5/400.

Once the kernel is built and re-booted, I notice a message saying :

"NVRAM parameters invalid, using driver Fast10 defaults"

appears while the system is re-booting (blue screen)

Can anyone tell me what it means and how to get rid of it or can it be
ignored?
