Who replied to the problem of the error in:

/usr/sbin/screenmode on in /sbin/init.d/inet returns
ioctl (SIOCSCREENON): Operation not supported on socket.

AltaVista Firewall requires a number of pseudo-devices in the config. The
one that was missing was:

pseudo-device gwscreen

It seems that performing a doconfig deletes this line. Editing the
configuration file to re-insert it fixes the problem.
