This may not be a strictly DUNIX question but here goes anyway. We are
having some confusion here when ftp-ing files between machines. It seems
that when files are ftp-ed to the DUNIX system from another Unix system
the umask is honored and the files have the correct permissions. But when
they are uploaded from a Windows95 machine (using WinQVT) the umask is
ignored and 644 permissions are given to the files. Is there any rhyme
or reason to this? Thanks in advance... Matt
