Some time ago I posted a note about some NFS problems between Alphas and
Suns. Although we did not find a solution, the problem mysteriously
disappeared later in the afternoon and have not (yet ?) reappeared.

Some responders suggested patching the SUNs, reverting to nfs2 etc., but
this did not help.

Case closed.
