disk i/o

We currently have a DEC 3000/600 running DEC Unix 3.2 with a
PMAZC-AA -Fast/Narrow/Single-ended SCSI.

I'm told the 3000/600 can be upgraded to use a KZTSA-xx -
Fast/Wide/Differential
controller.

We've been having disk i/o throughput problems.

How much would we gain by upgrading to the KZTSA controller?

Does anyone know about how much that controller costs?

Also, would I need to purchase all new disks to run with the KZTSA?

What disks would I need and how much do they cost???

Would I be better off purchasing a newer machine that can handle ultra scsi
controllers?

Thanks,
Jon
