Hi,
First I want to apologize for the lateness of this summary. It's
been a hectic month.
To summarize my question. I recieved two replies to my query, one
was a fellow sufferer of the cd booting problem and the other was from a
fellow at rockwell who was going to assit me after the first of the month.
Never heard back from the rockwell person so I'll just relay what I have
learned since the first post.
The cd booting issue I have no clue about as I have used two
different hard drives and even tried booting with the just the cdrom on
the chain. Oh well works a majority of the time even if it is annoying.
I never fully solved the firmware problem but I figure that the
firmware for the DECAXPPPCI_33 model *does* differ from the firmware used
by the Multia/UDB. With that in mind it seems that 3.7-628 was the last
release of Multia/UDB firmware and 3.8-3 being an test type release.
